Seventh-day Adventist Church, Soufriere is a Christian denomination with a history of more than 150 years throughout the Caribbean, with over 100 churches, schools and other outreach programs. Located in the town of Soufriere in the Caribbean Island of St Lucia, the Seventh-day Adventist Church of Soufriere provides spiritual and physical support to the community and its members.
The Seventh-day Adventist Church of Soufriere was founded in 1870. The church was initially known as the British Union and later became the Portuguese Seventh-day Adventist Church. It began to expand under the leadership of Adventist pioneer and evangelist Wilfred Festin, who brought the message of Adventism to St Lucia in 1933.
The church offers several services and programs for both members and guests, including Bible study classes, praise and worship, evangelism, children’s and youth ministries, health expositions, and outreach ministries. The church also hosts weekly series of sermons, seminars, and Bible studies. Additionally, the church provides Sabbath school classes for members and those outside the church family, religious music nights and various forums.
The church has several members and regular guests, who come from all over the island and beyond.
