The Church of God in Christ (COGIC) was formed in 1897 by Bishop Charles Mason and other leaders of the original Pentecostal movement. Bishop Charles E. Blake established West Angeles Church of God in Christ in 1982 to serve the spiritual needs of the city of Los Angeles. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in USA.
