The Cathedral of Our Lady of Perpetual Help is a Roman Catholic cathedral located in Duluth, Minnesota. It is the oldest church in Duluth and the mother church of the Diocese of Duluth. It was dedicated in 1890, and was built in a Romanesque style. History The Cathedral of Our Lady of Perpetual Help was designed by local architect Frederick W. Clarke, who designed a number of other buildings in Duluth. Construction began in 1887 and the church was dedicated two years later. The cathedral underwent renovations in 1952, which included the addition of a cruciform plan and an Italian marble altar.
