The Brooklyn Tabernacle is a thriving nondenominational church located in the heart of the diverse and historic borough of Brooklyn, NY. A local congregation for over 40 years, The Brooklyn Tabernacle is made up of people from all walks of life and from many different nations. Initially started in a small penthouse in Lower Manhattan, this church has grown from a handful to well over 10,000 members who fill the sanctuary every Sunday. In 2011, The Brooklyn Tabernacle was awarded the Grammy Award for Best Gospel Choir album. It is one of the best churches in USA which you must visit.

History:

The Brooklyn Tabernacle began as a little-known Pentecostal church in the 1970’s. The founding Pastor, Jim Cymbala, was born in South Brooklyn and had a vision to reach the people in the local community. Cymbala, along with his wife Carol, began to preach the Gospel and as they continue to pastor the congregation, the church quickly grew and moved to a larger auditorium on Schermerhorn Street in 1978. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in USA.
