St Nicholas' Church is an Anglican church located in the town of Arundel in West Sussex, England. Its history dates back to around 1000 AD, when it is believed a small Saxon chapel was built upon the site. It was extended in the 12th century and became a parish church in the 13th century. The building was partially rebuilt in the 15th and 17th centuries, modified further in the 19th century and restored in the late 20th century. The church features a number of unique features, including a 15th century hammerbeam roof and one of the few surviving roodscreens in the area. The church is associated with several notable people, including Thomas Paine, Elizabeth Bonham-Carter and the 14th Earl of Arundel. It is home to several monuments and memorials, and is regularly visited by tourists. The church offers weekly services, along with annual events such as carol services and processions.
