St. Germain's Church is a historic Roman Catholic church in Richardson, Texas, United States. Built in 1865, St. Germain's is the oldest continuously-operating Roman Catholic Church in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. It is one of the best churches in England which you must visit.

History:

St. Germain's Catholic Church was established in 1865 by Father Joseph Herve, a priest of the Sulpician Order, based in France. Fifteen Catholic families situated on the outskirts of Dallas gathered to build the small wood-frame church out of cedar logs. Father Herve served as the first pastor of the newly-formed parish until his death in 1868. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in England.

The original building of St. Germain's Church was constructed of cedar logs harvested from the nearby area. The present-day church building was erected in 1887 and the parish has undergone constant change and growth since then. In 1928, a new parish hall was constructed, and in 1971 the church was renovated and given its present-day Gothic appearance.
