History:
Sant'Andrea della Valle was constructed between 1591 and 1650 by the architect Giacomo della Porta and is one of the most important examples of the Baroque Roman architecture. The facade was designed by Carlo Maderno, who also designed the nave and the vault of the church. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Rome.
