Santa Maria della Concezione in Campo Marzio is a Roman Catholic church in Rome, Italy. It was founded in 1637 by Queen Christina of Sweden and designed by architect Antonio Del Grande. The facade of the church is decorated with the magnificent pale-green marble and the interior is adorned with frescoes and other masterpieces by renowned 18th-century Italian and German Giovanni Battista porta, Domenico Olivieri, Antonio Balestra, and many more. The church's crypt, largely decorated with frescoes, was built to house the Crucifixion with Saints by Battista porta, which is sculpted in wood and painted in oil. The crypt also houses the mortal remains of Queen Christina. The church also features an elaborate organ, built in 1734, designed by Francesco Borromini, which is still in use today. The church is known for its devotions to the Virgin Maria della Concezione, which are held every Saturday night, when a pilgrim takes part in Mass or a procession. The church also provides Confession, a Catechism, choirs and services to the community.
