It has maintained its original Gothic Revival style, which includes a tall, slender spire and twin towers. The church is the oldest known church in Randers and its oldest parts are from the late Middle Ages. The church is named after St. Andrew, the patron saint of Denmark. The construction of Sankt Andreas Kirke, Randers is believed to have begun some time in the 14th century. At the time, the church was known as Johannes Kirke as it was dedicated to John the Baptist.
