The earliest parts of Ringive Kirke date to the early 14th century, however the 16th century tower and cross on the exterior date to a later time. From the 17th century onwards, Ringive Kirke underwent many changes, including being extensively renovated in the years 1851 to 1852. Later in the 1800s, Jean and Lorentz Petersens both served as church ministers. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Denmark.
