It is the oldest Anglican Church in North America, and is the only remaining example of Tudor architecture in the country. History:

King’s Chapel began as a puritan church located in the center of Puritan Boston. When the Church of England was restored in 1660, Anglican services were allowed in Massachusetts for the first time. In 1686, King’s Chapel was established as the first Anglican or “Episcopal” Church in the Massachusetts Bay Colony. The original building, built of wood, burned down in 1753 and was replaced with the current “Tudor” chapel in 1754. It was constructed near the original site and was the first colonial building to be constructed of East Coast granite. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in USA.
