Villa romana (Marina di Palo) is an archaeological site located on eastern coast of the Tyrrhenian Sea in the Lazio region of Italy. It is believed to have been a Roman villa, dating from the first century BC to the fourth century AD. The site is composed of a main villa and annexes, and evidence of a neighbouring coastal settlement, possibly a port. There have been numerous archaeological excavations at the site. It provides a unique insight into Roman villa life in the Mediterranean region, including luxury structures and an array of artefacts. Its strategic location has led to its recent designation as an Important Cultural Heritage site, with an increase in the number of archaeological and modest tourist visits.
