Crescenzio di Roma is an archaeological site located in modern-day Rome, Italy. It is built upon the remains of an ancient Roman villa, which reveals a long and varied history of occupation in the region. The site dates back to the 1st century and was originally built as an agricultural complex before being transformed into an imperial palace of the 4th and 5th centuries. The ruins of the villa include the remains of a large courtyard, a bathing complex and a metal workshop, as well as a tower and two guards. Crescenzio di Roma has been identified as a major source of ancient metal objects dating back to the Roman period. The site is also home to a number of artefacts and mosaics which provide insight into the daily lives of the Romans and their culture. The site is open to visitors and is an excellent place to explore the history of Rome and its people.
