The Rani Sati Temple in Jhunjhunu is one of the most famous temples in Rajasthan. The worship method in this temple mainly consists of puja, aartis and bhajans. The iconic deity installed at this temple is believed to be a form of Goddess Durga, called Rani Sati. The puja performed at the temple is called ‘Mahashayran Puja’. During this puja, priests perform an invocation of Lord Shiva and a form of Goddess Durga to invoke divine blessings. Then, offerings of fruits, flowers and ghee are made to invoke the deity.
