History:
Church of St. Dominic was founded in 1915 in San Francisco’s Sunset District. The original church was located in a Victorian-style building and was built to provide religious services for the large number of Irish immigrants who had settled into the area. In 1971, Church of St. Dominic was rededicated to serve the growing Hispanic population of the neighbourhood and its surrounding areas. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Portugal.
