History:
The Church of São Gião is a Jesuit church located in the Beato area of Lisbon, Portugal. The original building was constructed in the baroque style in 1705 when the Jesuits established a new city there. The current building dates back to 1854, when it was rebuilt after a disastrous fire that nearly destroyed the entire city.
