The temple complex is also noted for its Chinese and Burmese influences, reflecting the mixed cultural atmosphere of the time.
History:
According to local legend, Wat Tham Phu Kham Pae was founded by a monk who wanted to create a refuge for Buddhist pilgrims. The main stupa, the Hall of the Reclining Buddha, was built in the mid-14th century. Later additions to the site include other structures, murals and various sculptures of the Buddha.

Wat Tham Phu Kham Pae is located in Waso District, Sukhothai Province, and is open to visitors all year round. Visitors can explore the temple grounds, as well as take part in various religious activities such as chanting and meditation.
