Phutthamonthon History
Phutthamonthon was established in 1957 by King Bhumibol Adulyadej to commemorate the 2500th anniversary of the passing away of Gautama Buddha. The main feature of this park is a large 15-meter-high statue of Phra Phuttha Sihing, representing the Lord Buddha. The statue is made from bronze and is said to hold great spiritual power.
Phutthamonthon Travel
Visitors can reach Phutthamonthon by car or public transportation from Bangkok. There is a regular bus service from Bangkok to the park, and it takes around an hour to reach.
