The temple spans over an area of 21 hectares and is comprised of three main parts. At the first part, visitors can admire a central pagoda with four entrances, as well as two halls, known as the ‘Tien Dien’ and the ‘Thien Dien’. This part of the complex also houses hundreds of small stupas, each with its own meaning. The second part of Phuoc Le Temple is known as the ‘Khuon Thap’ and is home to an array of ancient artifacts, including ancient drums and tombs. Phuoc Le is one of the most important and ancient sites in the region, with references pointing to its existence as early as the 12th century. In 1594, the temple was used for a gathering of 600 Buddhist monks for five days, thus creating the ‘International Buddhist Conference of Dai Viet’.
