History:
Phu Thok has been known to the Thai people for centuries, with its name appearing in manuscripts from the late 18th century. It was made a national park in 1972 and its popularity among travelers has been increasing ever since.

If you’re planning to visit Phu Thok, the best time to go is between October and February when the temperature is more comfortable. There are a number of trails that can be used to access the peak, ranging from easy to difficult. It’s recommended that you hire a local guide to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
