St. James the Apostle Parish Church In Philippines is a Catholic church located in Guimba, Nueva Ecija. It was built in 1590 by the local Dominican order and was the first Catholic parish church in the Philippines to be established by the Spanish administration. The church is an important historical landmark and has been declared a National Historical Landmark by the Philippine Government. The original structure was destroyed in an earthquake in 1888, but was eventually restored and remains among the most noteworthy baroque churches in the country. The church is noted for its architectural features, including four sets of stairs leading to the main church, decorative sculptures on the façade, and four arches surrounding the altar. Services such as Mass and Confession are offered at the church. The church is also a popular destination for pilgrims and tourists due to its historical and religious significance.
