Church of the Gesu In Philippines is a Roman Catholic religious community located in Quezon City, Philippines, especially known for its iconic high ceiling and elegant architecture. The church was established in 1865 by the Society of Jesus (the Jesuits) for the education and advancement of Filipino youth. The church is also the site of the first Filipino martyr, Bl. History:

The Jesuits arrived in Manila in 1581 and immediately started making plans for more secure and permanent establishments. In 1591, they founded the College of St. Gregory and the Church of Gesu in Intramuros. This church was destroyed during the Philippine Revolution and was replaced by the present Church of the Gesu sanctuary in 1920. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Philippines.
