History:

The Holy Family Church for Latin in Palestine was built by Franciscan Friars of the Custody of the Holy Land in the neo-Romanesque style. The first stone was laid on 7 March 1882, and the foundation stone was blessed by Patriarch Yacoub III of Antioch on 23 May 1882. The structure was designed by Fr. Torreggiani of the Order of Friars Minor. It was completed in 1884. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Palestine.
