Vincent de Paul Campell in 1922. The chapel has been expanded and renovated several times over the years. History:

St. Vincent de Paul Chapel In Palestine was founded in 1922 by the Rev. Vincent de Paul Campell. He was a Franciscan missionary who chose to settle in Palestine in order to provide spiritual and social services to its citizens. In 1938, the chapel was moved to its current location on East Strawn Street and expanded to a larger building. In 1972, the chapel was renovated and the current chapel was built. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Palestine.
