History:

St Andrew's Church In Palestine was originally started with a mission from the Middle East to promote Christianity in the Ottoman Empire. During the early years of the Mission, it was a chapel that was established in 1841, located in a German Colony in the Old City. Later, a stone church was built, which was destroyed in the riots that followed the fall of the Ottoman Empire in 1917. The church was rebuilt on the ruins of the old church in 1924, and has been in use ever since. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Palestine.
