Greek Catholic Church St. George in Palestine is a Roman Catholic church located in the West Bank city of Bethlehem. The church was built in 1925 and is currently under the care of the Franciscan Custody of the Holy Land. It is part of the Melkite Greek Catholic Church, an Eastern Catholic Church in full communion with the Catholic Church of Rome. The church is the spiritual center of the Greek Catholic Melkite community in Palestine. The church is dedicated to St. George, who is believed to be the patron saint of Palestine. The feast of the Sacred Heart of St. George is celebrated annually on April 23rd.
