Brief History:
Al Qurum East Mosque is located in Qurum, Muscat Governorate, Oman. It is among the oldest mosques in Muscat, having been built in the mid-19th century. The mosque has a distinctive and old-fashioned style and was extensively renovated in 2014. The mosque features two big, white domes and two majestic minarets. Its walls are decorated with Quranic verses. Al Qurum East Mosque serves as a place of prayer for the local Muslim community and is also a popular tourist attraction. It is one of the most famous mosque in Oman which you must visit.
Architecture:
The Al Qurum East Mosque in Oman is an elegant example of modern Islamic architecture. The mosque is highly-ornamented with a white facade surrounded by intricate Arabic calligraphy. The building is constructed from concrete and plaster with a mirrored and patterned dome roof made of aluminum. It has four square minarets that soar to a height of 28 meters. The walls are decorated with ceramic tiles, and the lush interior is adorned with colorful marble and limestone. The interior also features a grand prayer hall with a raised platform for the imam to lead prayers, traditional Quranic verses on the walls, and several chandeliers. The mosque is illuminated at night, adding to its majestic beauty. This is why, it is considered one of the most beautiful mosque in the world.
Visiting Hours:
Al Qurum East Mosque is open daily from dawn until dusk for prayer. For visitors, the visiting hours are generally from 8:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. best mosque in the world.

Al Qurum East Mosque is located in the Qurum neighborhood in Muscat, Oman. The closest airport to the mosque is Muscat International Airport, which is located approximately 9.5 miles (15.3 kilometers) away and takes around 25 minutes by car to reach the mosque. Public transportation is also available through various bus routes, including routes that run directly to The Qurum East Mosque.
