Brief History:
Al Qarn South West North South Mosque in Oman is located in the province of Al Sharqiyah North, Wusta Region. It was constructed in 2001 by the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs. The two stores mosque was built with an Omani architectural style. It is considered to be one of the largest mosques in Oman with a capacity of 1,400 people. It is also famous for its walls that are completely decorated with verses from the Quran and Islamic calligraphy. Inside the main prayer hall, there are three large chandeliers and several round hangings from the ceiling. The mosque also includes a prayer hall for ladies which is separated by a colorful glass window. This mosque also has a system of air conditioning and audio speakers. It is one of the most famous mosque in Oman which you must visit.
Architecture:
The Al Qarn South West North South Mosque in Oman is an example of classic Islamic architecture. The mosque is characterized by its four-storey minaret facing south, which is unique in the sultanate. The mosque is surrounded by a courtyard with marble courtyards and a dome. Inside, the mosque is decorated with painted tiling, designed with geometric and floral patterns. The overall design follows the traditional pattern of a mosque, with separate prayer halls for women and men. The main hall is the most impressive space, with a large central dome flanked by four semi-domes, with delicate stalactite vaulting. Along the walls of the main hall, there are intricate Quranic inscriptions and large stained glass windows. This is why, it is considered one of the most beautiful mosque in the world.
Visiting Hours:
