The Al Kamil South North Mosque in Oman was built in the 16th Century and is located in the old city of Muscat. It is believed to have been built in the 17th Century and was originally used to house the royal family when they visited Muscat. It is an important landmark of the city's history and is still used as a place of worship to this day. It is one of the most famous mosque in Oman which you must visit.
Architecture:
The Al Kamil South North Mosque in Oman is a traditional mosque design with a four-faced hypostyle prayer hall. It also features a main prayer hall, a portico, and a courtyard. The infrastructure of the mosque is designed with quality materials and a beautiful symmetrical structure. It is ornamented with intricate floral designs and intricate Islamic calligraphy. The inner dome is a magnificent 32 meters in diameter and rises up to 33 meters into the sky. The three, four-faced minarets, along with the four turrets provides an impressive view of the mosque from the outside. The mosque is illuminated with carefully crafted and detailed ceiling lamps that feature exquisite traditional decoration. This is why, it is considered one of the most beautiful mosque in the world.
