Al Jami Mosque is a historical mosque located in Sohar, Oman. It was built in the 13th century and stands as one of the oldest Mosques in Oman. The mosque is an example of the Omani architectural style and is made from a combination of local stone, gypsum, mortar and sand. The main structure of the mosque consists of a large prayer hall with a minaret at one end. There is also a decorative arch at the entrance of the mosque. The interior of the mosque is simple and unadorned with only one single dome which is decorated with small circles and ornamental designs. The walls are decorated with intricate tile work and the floor is covered with carpets. The mosque is also home to an old library, which was established by the Sultan Qaboos Al Said and is still active. This is why, it is considered one of the most beautiful mosque in the world.
