The Al Hazam West South Mosque is a beautiful building located in Al Dakhliyah Governorate, Oman. The mosque has two separate prayer halls – a main hall in the middle and a women’s hall to the right. The building is quite large, covering a total area of 8,000 square meters and featuring a courtyard, garden, and car park. The main hall of the mosque is constructed mainly from white marble and is square in shape. Inside, the hall has five columns, which support the dome. The dome is constructed from gypsum, while the walls of the main hall have intricate stucco Islamic decoration. The main hall features 30 windows filled with stained glass, as well as a Mihrab, which is a prayer niche used to direct worshippers towards Mecca. There are also several other niches located around the mosque, which are used as decorations. The women’s prayer hall is located just to the right of the main hall and is much smaller. It also features white marble construction and includes 10 windows.
