Built in 1738, it was originally used as a local prayer house but was eventually converted into a fully-fledged mosque in the late 19th century. The mosque is made up of four small towers that form its minaret, which is smaller than traditional mosques. Inside the mosque, there are a number of tombs and graves that are thought to be of important figures in Omani society. It is one of the most famous mosque in Oman which you must visit.

The Al Ajyal West Mosque in Muscat, Oman is a modern, geometrically designed building with its main prayer hall having a capacity of 650 worshippers. The exterior of the mosque is composed of a multi-colored facade, recessed windows, and a variety of geometric shapes and patterns. The interior features a large main prayer hall, side prayer spaces for women and men with an air-conditioned hall for rest and relief, and ample parking space. The minaret of the mosque stands at a height of 55 meters and is topped by a star-like crown, surrounded by four square minarets of different colors. The courtyard of the mosque is beautifully landscaped with palm trees, and other plants. Additionally, there are several sitting areas around the Masjid with colorful cushions for worshippers. This is why, it is considered one of the most beautiful mosque in the world.
