The group was founded in 1975 as a small group of people who wanted to experience a deeper connection to each other and to God. Through the years, the group has grown to include members of many different faith backgrounds and beliefs. History The God-Life Assembly started in 1975 when a group of church goers, who were interested in deepening their faith and relationship with God, got together. Through the years, the organization has grown and now includes members from various denominations and backgrounds of faith. Facts • The organization has offices in 42 countries with chapters, services and activities in over 185 countries. • The primary goals of the God-Life Assembly are to promote Biblical principles, deepen the relationship between members and God, and provide leadership for those on a path of spiritual and personal growth. • There is an annual international conference that is attended by over 6,000 people from around the world. Services • Spiritual Growth Classes – Classes are offered to members and visitors alike with topics that cover various aspects of spiritual growth, such as prayer, deep Bible study, and how to apply faith to everyday life. • Bible Study Sessions – Classes and small group settings are available to study the Bible and discuss teachings or events in the Bible. • Worship Services – Services are held on Saturday evenings and Sunday mornings for members to come together in a time of worship. • Leadership Development Programs – Workshops and retreats are offered for members to develop and strengthen their leadership skills. • Youth Programs and Activities – Activities such as retreats, mission trips, and camps are held throughout the year and are open to young people ages 7 to 18. • Global Ministry Activities – The group sponsors evangelistic events, mission trips and humanitarian aid projects in the countries in which they operate.
