Macedonia Parish Windhoek is a parish within the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Namibia, located in the city of Windhoek. It was established in 1931 and is the oldest parish in Namibia. It is one of the best churches in Namibia which you must visit.

History:

Macedonia Parish Windhoek was founded in 1931 by the German Lutheran Pastor, Heinrich Kraigk, who arrived in Windhoek in 1930. For a period of time, the spiritual services were provided in both German and English. In 1963, worship services in the parish were conducted in the local Oshiwambo language. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Namibia.

Macedonia Parish Windhoek is the largest Lutheran parish in the country, with over 6,000 members. The church comprises eight sub-parishes and 25 preaching points, 15 of which are located in Windhoek and the surrounding areas while the remaining 10 are located in the northern Kavango East region.
