Elcin Church was founded in the early 1800s by German settlers and was known as Millersville Presbyterian Church at the time. The church was active in early missionary work, helping to spread the Gospel to the area. In 1923, the church was renamed Elcin Church after the local stream that runs nearby. Elcin Church's pastor from 1923-1957, Dr. J.E. Miller, was instrumental in helping the church grow and reach out to the surrounding community.
