Founded in 1995, the Missão Bethel team served its first project, providing medical care to a leper colony in Beira, Mozambique. The work was soon extended to the surrounding region, and since then, Missão Bethel has provided health care and social services to almost 200,000 individuals. The mission is now present in eight provinces in Mozambique and has taken a lead role in some of the more rural areas of the country. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Mozambique.
