History:

is the site of a pre-Hispanic city of the Huastec civilization. It is located in Huasteca region, in the municipality of Mecatlán de Veracruz, in Puebla state. The pre-Hispanic worship at the Zona Arqueológica de Yohualichan, Puebla in Mexico consisted of a variety of religious activities and rituals, including human sacrifice, offerings of food, worship of ancient deities, as well as divination and rain dances.
