Generally, the devotees start by offering fresh flowers to the deity, followed by performing special pooja rituals. Chanting of mantras and worshipping Kaliamman as a mother are also part of the rituals. Offerings of fruits and sweets are also made to the deity as a mark of devotion. A huge procession also takes place wherein devotees carry the deity to different parts of the village, accompanied by the local band. Once the procession ends, the worship of the deity resumes again.
