Worship Method:

The worship method of Shri Hanuman Temple follows the traditional Indian puja practices. Offerings to the deity, such as flowers, fruits, coconuts, milk, and ghee, are placed on a banana leaf in front of the deity and then washed away with the offering of water. The puja is considered complete only when prasad is given to all devotees. Prasad is usually distributed among the devotees in the form of sweets or vibhuti (sacred ash). The traditional aarti (also known as puja) performed at Shri Hanuman Temple is based on the seven mantras or stutis found in the vedas. These mantras are recited by the temple priest as part of the puja procedure. The presiding deity, Shri Hanuman, is offered various items as per the vedic guidelines. In addition to this, aarti is also performed to the other deities that are present in the temple, including Lord Shiva, Goddess Durga, and Lord Ganesha. The aarti ritual at Shri Hanuman Temple commences with the chanting of Hanuman Chalisa and other devotional hymns. After this, the priest performs the abhishekam (blessing) to Shri Hanuman, which includes washing the deity with milk, panchamritam (a mixture of five substances, viz. milk, curd, honey, ghee and sugar), and various other items. After this, aarti is offered to the Lord in front of the assembled devotees; including the burning of incense, bells, and lamps. After this, the aarti is concluded with the chanting of the main mantras and prasad is distributed among the devotees. This most visited temple in Mauritius
