History:

Shree Dev Bhairav Temple is one of the oldest temples in Pune, Maharashtra and is dedicated to Lord Bhairav, an incarnation of Lord Shiva. According to Hindu mythology, it is said that Lord Bhairav is the guard of Lord Shiva's big gates and is responsible for protecting the universe from the evils. The temple is believed to be constructed in 1690 by the Maratha ruler Swarup Singh.
