The Mahalakshmi Temple located in Dahanu, Maharashtra, is one of the most revered Hindu temples in the area. The temple is dedicated to the Goddess Mahalakshmi, the Hindu Goddess of Wealth and Prosperity, who is believed to bless her devotees with abundance. In Dahanu, the Goddess is worshipped through various forms and methods that are traditional to the region, which includes Saptah Puja, Dashahara Puja, Mahashivratri Puja, and various other offerings. The main puja held in the temple is called Saptah Puja, and it consists of seven days of intense puja that is performed to please the fighting Hindu Gods and Goddesses. The puja is accompanied by singing and chanting of hymns, and each day of the puja is dedicated to a different God and Goddess. On the seventh day of the puja, the devotees offer Bali Puja, where food is offered to the Goddess as an offering. The puja is then concluded with Aarti and Shringar.
