United Pentecostal Church of Ambanimaso In Madagascar: History,Facts, & Services
The United Pentecostal Church of Ambanimaso in Madagascar (UPCAM) is an independent Pentecostal denomination that was created in 2009 and is based on Pentecostal doctrine. The church’s founders had been associated with madagascar since 2000, when a group of foreign Pentecostal missionaries began working there. Since then, the church has grown and now has congregations in eleven cities in Madagascar.
UPCAM’s core doctrine is the same as that of other Pentecostal churches around the world. This includes the belief in one God in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and the Holy Spirit; the Trinity; water baptism; the infilling of the Holy Spirit; and the sanctity of marriage between a man and a woman.
In addition to teaching traditional Pentecostal doctrine, the church also emphasizes the value of evangelism, missions, and service to the poor. UPCAM works to help underprivileged communities in Madagascar by running outreach and development projects such as clean water initiatives, education, and healthcare provision.
UPCAM holds weekly Sunday services, including time for praise and worship, preaching, and individual prayer. Smaller, more informal gatherings are also held during the week for Bible study, prayer, and fellowship. The church also runs several youth programmes, which provide instruction in biblical principles and an opportunity for young people to connect with one another in a supportive and encouraging environment.
