Construction on the present-day structure began shortly afterwards, and continued until the early Renaissance period. The architects who worked on the structure included Étienne Renou, who designed the lofty Gothic spire, and Jean de la Haye, who designed the nave. The church also features a number of statues and other works of art, including the 15th-century sculpture of the Virgin and Child by Jean Malouel.
