Church of St. Casimir In Lithuania was built in 1514 along with the complex of ancient buildings and is associated with the sibling of Jogaila – Kasimir, at the initiative of powerful families of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. It is believed that over time, it was this church, rather than the Cathedral of Vilnius, that was the coronation church of the Grand Dukes and princes of Lithuania. The Church has a basilica of three naves with two towers. It was renovated in the 18th century in the Baroque style, and its interior was decorated with a beautiful wooden polychrome from 1712.
