Church of Christ the Redeemer In Lithuania is an Evangelical Lutheran church located in Vilnius, Lithuania. It was established in 1990 as part of the revival of Christianity in the former Soviet Union. It is a member of the International Lutheran Council and is affiliated with the Church of Scandinavia. It is a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lithuania, a member of the Lutheran World Federation and the Conference of European Churches. History:

Prior to 1990, there was no active Lutheran church in Lithuania, due to Soviet oppression. The church was founded on May 27, 1990 at a meeting of the Diaconate of the Church of East Prussia, an association of ethnic churches. The congregation was made up largely of people who had emigrated to the United States from Lithuania and those who were held in political prisons in the Soviet Union. This initial meeting was headed by Pastor Detlev Blohm, a native of East Prussia, and Dr. Imantas Kelpša, a Lithuanian pastor from the United States. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Lithuania.
