Tree of Life Community Church In Lesotho is an independent, multi-cultural church that seeks to lead people to a saving faith in Jesus Christ. Founded in 2002 by Bishop Scott T. Smith, the church has grown to become one of the largest congregations in the southern African country of Lesotho. The church's mission is to “Bring the love and hope of Jesus Christ to Africa." History:

Tree of Life was launched in 2002 in the town of Roma, near the capital Maseru. In 2005, the church launched its first official campus location, Maseru. Tree of Life now has 13 campuses located throughout Lesotho, as well as branches in South Africa and Zambia. Over 10,000 congregants meet for weekly services each Sunday in all locations. In addition to the Sunday services, Tree of Life has a number of programs designed to serve the community, including the Alpha program which provides basic English classes; a volunteer staff for assistance with microfinance, legal and mental health needs; community outreach initiatives, and more. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Lesotho.
