The church’s history is closely tied to the tireless work of Pauline and Sankey Motanyane who dedicated their lives to teaching and evangelizing. In the early part of the 20th century, missionaries from South Africa traveled to the area, with the support of Pauline and Sankey Motanyane, to hold evangelistic meetings and open churches. The first Seventh-day Adventist church was opened in 1937 in Ntlholohetsane.
Today, the church is an active community of believers offering Bible studies, Sabbath School programs, Youth and Children’s Ministries, and other social outreach initiatives. The church has weekly worship services, a fully-staffed church office, a Bible College, and even a radio station. Additionally, they offer healthcare and humanitarian aid through their Daystar Health Clinic, which also operated a secondary school.
The Ntlholohetsane SDA continues to remain true to its core values of Christian missionary work, outreach to its local community, and worldwide evangelism.
