Leribe LECSA Church In Lesotho is a Protestant church belonging to the Lesotho Evangelical Church South Africa (LESCA). This church was established in 1913 and is a member of the World Communion of Reformed Churches since 1999. The church has more than 250 local congregations throughout Lesotho, having a total of more than 120,000 members. The main church in Leribe, the Episcopal (cathedral) church, has a total seating capacity of 4,000 people and is equipped with several types of educational equipment and conference facilities.

The foundation of the Lesotho Evangelical Church South Africa (LESCA) was laid in 1913 as a result of the initiative of the Basotho chiefs to seek independence from South Africa. Their efforts were successful, and in 1918 LESCA became an independent church, with the aim of improving the educational level of the Basotho people, and promoting mission work in the whole of Africa. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Lesotho.
