- The ISKCON Temple Delhi-Glory Of India & Vedic Cultural Centre New Delhi was established in the year 1997. It was inaugurated by His Holiness Shri Shri Vishwesh Teertha Swamiji of Pejawara Mutt. The temple was built to propagate Vishnu-Tulasi worship with a mission to build a harmonious relationship between man and man, man and God, and man and Nature. The main deities in the temple are Sri Sri Radha-Sham Bhudevi (Radha Krishna), Shri Gaur Nitai, Shri Laxmi Narayana, Shri Nrushingha Deva, and Shri Jagannath-Baladev-Subhadra. The ISKCON Glory of India and Vedic Cultural Centre follows a set of worship methods that includes the Guru Parampara system and devotion to the Lord as mentioned in the Vedic literature. The rituals that are performed at the temple include aarti (a form of offering), fiery kirtans (harmonious arrangements of musical instruments and devotional singing) and bhajans (devotional songs) accompanied by musical instruments. Aratis are conducted twice a day, and devotees are encouraged to participate by clapping their hands and singing along. During each arati, offerings of flowers, lamps and incense are made to the deities, and the beautiful scent of incense fills the area.
