Worship Method:

The International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) has temples all over the world. The ISKCON Rohini temple in Delhi is dedicated to Lord Krishna and His divine consort, Srimati Radharani. Like all other ISKCON temples, this temple adheres to the Vaisnava tradition of worship. Every day, devotees gather for several aartis (rituals of offering) and kirtans (congregational singing). During aartis, devotees offer lamps, flowers, fruits, and food to the deities. In the morning, the first aarti begins at 4:30 am with the Mangal Aarti. Here, the deities are bathed and dressed in fresh clothes. Then, devotees chant the mantras of the Diety of their choice. This is followed by the Greeting Aarti and the Vaishnavi Aarti. The main kirtan at the temple is the Damodar Kirtan. During this kirtan, devotees sing devotional songs about Lord Krishna, His pastimes, His divine qualitites, and His love for Srimati Radharani. Along with this, there is also the Kesava Nama Aarti. Here, devotees offer flowers to the deities and chant hand the names of the Lord. Every evening, the arotik begins at 6 pm.
